| Year 47 is off to a great start with your State Action Team hard at work in making this the best year ever for Florida Collegiate DECA. Your officers would like to hear your suggestions and will be communicating with each chapter. This year’s State Career Development Conference will be March 1 - 4, 2012 at the Radisson Resort Conference Center in Orlando/Celebration. Our theme this year is AspireHigher, which reflects the theme of our international organization. The International Career Development Conference will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 20 - 24, 2012 with departure back to Florida on April 25. Plan now! Encourage your chapter members to make weekly, bi-weekly, monthly payments toward these conferences. Suggest that they ask their family, friends, and employers to contribute to their conference fund. Alumni attribute their successes to DECA participation in conferences, competitive events, local activities, community service, and volunteerism. Attending and participating in activities only strengthen your resume. Start building your resume now! You want to be sure that you “stand out” from your competition when you are seeking that special position.
