FALL 2009 NEWSLETTER

GET A FREE STATE CDC REGISTRATION

We really want you to attend the 45th Annual Florida College DECA and Delta Epsilon Chi State Career Development Conference, March 4-7, 2010 at the fabulous Radisson Resort Kissimmee-Celebration.

While we realize finances are a factor in attending the State CDC, we have a way for you to get a free registration, valued at $150.00. All you need to do is recruit twelve (12) professional members to Florida College DECA and Delta Epsilon Chi by November 15. Please read the information on the form (download the form), and ask your family, friends, employers, and colleagues, etc. to join our organization. Besides helping the organization to reach our goal of a membership increase, these individuals can help you participate in the State CDC. Participation in the State Career Development Conference, and being an active member of our organization, adds much to your resume and shows your leadership, dedication, commitment, and community involvement.

Challenge your chapter to become more visible on campus and in your community through campus and community volunteerism. Begin your fundraising activities at the beginning of the school year and do not wait until the conference is ‘around the corner’. If you are working, put $5.00 away weekly towards the conference. Ask friends and relatives to give you conference support for holiday and birthday gifts. Ask your employer to sponsor you for the State CDC and contribute to your expenses. If you are a member of the weekend club circuit (not endorsed by the organization), have one less beverage and put that money towards the conference. Excuses are just that – excuses! If you really want to be two steps ahead of your competition when you graduate, participation in DECA and Delta Epsilon Chi will help you achieve your career goals after you make that all important commitment to your future.

We challenge each of you to make a commitment to become an active member, participate in local chapter activities, the State Career Development Conference, March 4-7, 2010, and the International Career Development Conference, April 16-20, 2010 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Should we be of any assistance, we are an email away.

Best wishes for a very successful year, and always remember, TOGETHER WE GROW! TOGETHER WE SUCCEED!
