WHAT IS FLORIDA COLLEGIATE DECA?

  1. Use public relations tools to promote Florida Collegiate DECA and Collegiate DECA, such as the school newspaper, school website, displays, t-shirts, or a student club/organization fair.

  2. Invite a state or national officer to speak at your organizational meeting.

  3. Offer a general leadership or career workshop to all students and put in a plug for joining Florida Collegiate DECA and Collegiate DECA.

  4. Send letters or e-mails to incoming students who have declared certain majors.

  5. Bring successful alumni from an area chapter to a chapter meeting to speak of their involvement in Florida Collegiate DECA and Collegiate DECA.

  6. Promote the organization as a means of getting a job, making money, and having fun!

  7. Develop an employment program that provides internships for members.

  8. Ask professors for permission for you to make a short presentation in class about Florida Collegiate DECA and Collegiate DECA.

  9. Advertise Florida Collegiate DECA and Collegiate DECA actively on campus and recruit past DECA alumni.

  10. Be excited about Florida Collegiate DECA and Collegiate DECA and your enthusiasm will spread across your campus!
